The renovations, which began in 2025 will improve the accessibility, usability, efficiency, and safety of port services. Simultaneously, plans are being put forward to develop Koverhar Harbour into a logistics hub for offshore wind power projects in the Baltic Sea.<\/p>\n<p>The renovations at the Western Harbour are part of a joint project between the ports of Hanko and Rostock aimed at improving the efficiency of liner traffic services between the two ports. The joint initiative is part of the trans-European TEN-T transport network development policy, integrates road, rail, and maritime traffic with port infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>The EU has granted over \u20ac14 million of investment aid from the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) fund for the renovation of the ports of Hanko and Rostock, of which the Port of Hanko Ltd.\u2019s share is approximately \u20ac7.85 million.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Active developments are underway at the Port of Hanko to better serve the needs of maritime transport customers and logistics providers.
